The Toyota Camry 2020 and its reliability differences allow it to become a heavyweight contender in the fading home sedan segment. Its three drive system options include a variety: four fuel-efficient cylinders, powerful V-6 engines, and environmentally friendly hybrid engines. Although the Toyota Camry has a compliant ride and proficient handling capabilities, it is still behind in terms of performance behind sportier and pressure-up rivals such as the famous Honda Accord or Mazda 6. There are also many standard driving assist technologies, including front collision warning, cruise control adaption, and lane deviation warning. The Camry may be hampered by minor defects, but even so, it is the best performance Camry Toyota has ever produced.
What’s new for 2020?
The big change for 2020 is that the Camry aims for performance equipped by Toyota Racing Development (TRD). This unique Camry rides on remodeled reducers powered by harder springs that reduce the vehicle’s height by 0.6 inches. Beefier flip trucking, additional chassis braces, and wider light wheels are wrapped in summer rubber in preparation for the Camry TRD for the Old Country Buffet 500. The front brake rotation shafts increase in diameter by 0.9 inches and are clamped with dual-piston clamps, and there is a TRD-specific exhaust system to make sounds for this part. The exterior is complemented by a unique terminology body kit, and the interior is worn in red to complete the look. Previously not available, the Android Auto feature is now standard in all Camry models.

Fuel-efficient four-cylinder engines are attractive, but our brains need to be stimulated and refrigerator driving won’t cut off. Our inner Kyle Busch says to try the new Camry TRD, so that’s exactly what we’re going to do. Not only is this the cheapest way to get the 301 horsepower V-6 engine, but it also includes a long list of performance enhancement options mentioned above. Although it ignores creature comforts such as leather interiors, navigation, and driver assistance features, it is still nearly $4000 lower than the Camry XSE that runs the V-6. The four-wheel-drive system is optional on LE, SE, XLE, and XSE models and costs $1400.
Engine, transmission, and performance
The standard four-cylinder engine combines a smooth eight-speed automatic gearbox, but its acceleration figure is disappointing. A less powerful version of that engine works with a battery and two electric motors to power the Camry hybrid, which is nothing more exciting to drive than the basic powertrain. The true jewel of this product line is the smoother 301 horsepower V-6 engine available on the XLE and XSE models. Finally, a Camry that we don’t hate to drive. It has a controlled ride and surprisingly responsive handling capabilities. The steering wheel has a pleasant weight and feels sturdy when cornering and light when moving in the parking lot. We noticed that the Camry’s brake pedals are sensitive and not too soft, even in hybrids, in which it must combine friction with renewable brakes (where energy from the brakes is used to recharge the hybrid’s battery pack). However, at lower speeds, the hybrid’s brake pedals are too responsive, making parking controls difficult.
Fuel economy and MPG in the real world
The entire Camry has performed very well in EPA tests and a four-cylinder model has successfully completed our real-world highway test. However, the upper decoration of the hybrid sacrifices some efficiency at the luxurious altar. A four-cylinder Camry SE returned 45 mpg in our highway test, beating its own EPA rating of 6 mpg — and making it the most economical non-hybrid car we’ve ever tested. It even beat the Camry XLE hybrid which we tested 1 mpg.
Furniture, Amenities, and Goods
We drove the Camry in both the top-class XLE cover and the more beautiful SE design. Both are spacious and comfortable, and the XLE is extremely luxurious. However, there is a serious gap in material quality between low-end models and more expensive versions, and the central part of the panel makes some of us feel cold with its tedious design. The Camry is a large sedan, with plenty of cargo and interior space in both the trunk and in the cabin with folded rear seats. It’s not the best in every hosting category, but overall, it’s very competitive. Toyota has relocated the Camry hybrid’s battery from the trunk down underneath the back row, so hybrid owners don’t have to sacrifice the ability to transport for additional MPGs.
Info and connections
Toyota’s touchscreen info info info system – known as the Entune 3.0 – is standard across the entire Camry line, with an enhanced version available as an option. Entune has the most number of features and reasonable responses to user input in our tests and — new for 2020 — compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is now standard.
Driver assistance and safety features
Camry has earned impressive scores from two of the country’s safety agencies, with a five-star NHTSA rating and IIHS Top Safety Choice for 2018. We continue to welcome Toyota’s decision to set driver assistance technology standards on its product lines. Key safety features include:

We’ve named the Honda Accord on our 10Best list with a record number of times as it’s long been the most impressively sold family sedan — and the 2020 model is no different. Honda has three choices of drive systems – including hybrid engines – that combine efficiency and power. Two four-cylinder petrol engines can be combined with an attractive floor gearbox or a smooth 10-level automatic gearbox. Graceful handling is a prominent feature of the Accord and sporty chassis, lightweight steering, and balanced ride capabilities are standard in the product line. Also standard: a set of driver assistance features including automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, and adapted cruise control. Accord 2020 is not only the best family-driven sedan, but it is also one of the best-equipped options in the segment, becoming an easy proposal for today’s car buyers.

Honda Accord 2020 is unchanged from 2019. The product line is completely new for 2018 and although prices have risen slightly for each model, the Accord’s list of features — both standard and optional — remains the same.

It is rare to find a family sedan capable of driving as nicely as the Accord and also with a six-level floor gearbox, so we will choose the Sport version and get the gearbox. The manual gearbox is a joy regardless of which engine it is combined with and sports decorations add many other features worth upgrading, including a 19-inch wheel, a 12-way power steering seat, and an info system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
Engine, transmission, and performance
The series starts with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder 192-horsepower four-cylinder engine, but our favorite is the 252-horsepower 252-horsepower four-cylinder four-cylinder engine that sits atop the engine pyramid and can come with a six-speed or no.10 floor gearbox. -The speed automatically changes with almost seamless properties. Both engines operate smoothly, but the 2.0-liter engine provides quick power that can easily rotate the front tire at the first number. A hybrid is also available and is supplied by a four-cylinder and two electric motors. The Accord’s chassis is well classified and encourages the driver to push the car hard through the corners, where it shows a minimal amount of body roll. The steering system is lightweight, suitable for a car in this class, but we wouldn’t mind if it transmitted a little more feedback from the road surface. However, it is difficult to complain about an accurate and predictable commander. Accord’s ride is firmly controlled but never harsh, helping it achieve a winning balance between a sports sedan and a practical family car
Fuel economy and MPG in the real world
This latest version of the Accord eliminated the previous generation’s V-6 and 4-cylinder natural gas suction engines to replace a pair of reduced-size turbo engines and generally positive results. Both engines performed well in our real-world highway fuel-economy test. On our highways, accord touring 2.0T with 10-speed automatic gearbox has reached its own EPA highway rating by providing 35 mpg. It also works much better than a 2018 Camry that we tested with a 301 horsepower V-6 engine, reaching 29 mpg. Our test of an Accord Sport 1.5T with a six-level gearbox delivers even more promising returns at 38 mpg.
Furniture, Amenities, and Goods
especially would be happier in an Accord than most other midsize sedans. Honda’s optional decorative structure means that most decisions about its features are made to the driver, but almost every Accord has a nice interior and at least some creature comforts. The top Touring decorations are carefully finished, with heated and cooled leather front seats, heated rear seats, and head-up displays. However, the lower levels of decoration have their own appeal. Among them: Attractive and comfortable chairs and interior decoration of Honda. Not only did accord’s 17 cubic feet cargo space beat the next best car in the segment, but the Accord hybrid didn’t lose any cargo space due to its electric drive system components. In our testing, the Accord typically has two more luggage bags with the back row folded compared to its nearest competitor. Accord’s interior storage space is located in the middle of the road in this segment and its interior storage setup is almost as underactive or thoughtful as that of the Honda Civic or Hyundai Ioniq, for example. However, the Accord still has to meet the basic needs of most drivers.
Info and connections
All models are standard with touchscreen info on a 7.0 or 8.0-inch screen. Bluetooth and USB connections are also available on boards, but apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities are dedicated to the system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen. We found this system to be fast, attractive, and easy to use; even low-tech people will find it intuitive. Honda offers a premium 10-speaker audio system with a 450-watt amplifier on the EX-L model, but the lower Accords have a four- or eight-speaker system.
Driver assistance and safety features
The Honda Accord 2020 boasts a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Transportation Administration as well as a Top Safety Choice rating from the Highway Safety Insurance Institute. A range of standard driver assistance features provides critical collision avoidance technologies in every Accord, including automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assistance. However, that does not mean that every safety technology is the norm. Blind-spot monitoring, rear-crossing vehicle warnings, and parking sensors still cost extra. Key safety features include:
